In my works, analogous worlds in which human nature tends to metamorphose with giant insects ready to cause a dreadful revenge against humanity, are glimpsed.
Giuseppe Labriola's artistic research is borrower to the surreal universe and to the post-human as well. Zoo-anthropomorphic works have entangling titles recalling a civilization destroyed by nuclear war; they are realized by heterogeneous and degraded materials- industrial refuses and plastic-pretending uncertain and contaminated simulacra, revolutionising the traditional cognitions about the aesthetic sense. “Contemporary is like a landscape to paint, to draw, to recreate thanks to spurious materials, to deconstruct certainties and habits.”.
